Palm nut soup is a soup made from palm fruit and it is common in the African community. It originated from the Urhobo tribe in Delta State, Nigeria. Palm nut soup has become a continental soup. Mbanga soup is a palm fruit soup in Cameroonian cuisine and West African cuisine.

The ingredients needed to make Banga soup:
  1. Get Salt and seasoning
  2. Prepare Palm nut (Banga)
  3. Take Crayfish(grinded)
  4. Prepare Shrimps(cleaned, seasoned)
  5. Get Snails (washed)
  6. Prepare Chicken
  7. Take Dryfish
  8. Get Perewinkles
  9. Prepare Onions (diced)
  10. Get Local spices (pounded)
  11. Take Dry bitterleave soup

Many settlers from the area consumes it at large. It is tasty, smooth and lovely. Palm nuts, pepper, stick banga, banga spices, dry fish, fresh cat fish, cubes seasoning, onions, crayfish, beletietie. Wash your palm nuts put it inside the pot and water and cook till soft.

Instructions to make Banga soup:
  1. Wash and boil palm nut till soft the hit with a mortar till the Kernel is seperated from the body and then use hot water to extract the oil and sieve into a pot, put the pot on high heat and allow to boil
  2. White it's boiling to dry, cook chicken, snail and fresh fish with onions, salt, pepper, cubes till half done and set aside. Add water to the pounded spices and sieve the extracted fluid into the pot of banga, add crayfish, add dry bitterleave and allow to boil.
  3. When the oil extract has reduced add the meat stock and allow to boil to dry up a bit more then add ur shrimps, perewinkles, snails, meat, dryfish, salt and cubes to taste and stir, then add the catfish on top carefully and dnt stir just allow to boil, the fluid will begin to thicken as it boils because the protein is much and breaking slowly as it's boiling
  4. When the water has reduced to desired level, stir carefully, you might want to remove the fresh fish first if you can't be too careful, stir and taste that it's okay and then turn off heat, serve with preferred swallow.
  5. Ready to serve and ENJOY!

Palm nuts, pepper, stick banga, banga spices, dry fish, fresh cat fish, cubes seasoning, onions, crayfish, beletietie. Wash your palm nuts put it inside the pot and water and cook till soft. When cooked till tender pour away the water then slightly raise it but it should till be hot. Banga Soup is a native soup to the Niger Delta. It is commonly eaten with starch, pounded yam, semolina, garri and fufu.
